MISSION
The Institute for Community Pharmacy (ICP) is a non-profit organization committed to advancing community pharmacy through continuing education, quality initiatives, and relationship building.
HISTORY
ICP was founded on June 29, 2001. ICP is a non-profit, public benefit corporation exempt from taxation pursuant to Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and is funded by the United Pharmacists Network, Inc. (UPNI) and some of the country's major pharmaceutical companies.
MEMBERSHIP
If you are a member of the United Pharmacists Network, Inc. (UPNI) you are automatically a member of ICP.
Membership with UPNI is open to everyone. There is no enrollment fee. UPNI's monthly dues will be waived if members sign under UPNI endorsed wholesale support programs (Please call 818.549.2285 for more information). Thus, the net cost is nothing. The majority of our members are independent community pharmacies with a minority of small chain drug stores and other retail chains.
OPPORTUNITY
ICP is a non-profit organization and has a position of neutrality and independence within the pharmacy community. As a new organization, it is not locked into specific activities but rather, at this stage of development, is especially able to adapt and change to meet emerging opportunities and priorities.
