The Board of Directors of the Institute for Community Pharmacy is pleased to announce that David Breslow, Pharm.D. has been chosen to succeed Walter Cathey as CEO of the Institute. Dr. Breslow assumes the position following his retirement as CEO of United Pharmacists Network, Inc. at the end of 2009. Dr. Breslow was instrumental in founding UPNI and led the organization for 14 years. He was also instrumental in the founding and development of ICP. |

David Breslow David Breslow, Pharm.D., is a 1965 graduate of Occidental College and a 1971 graduate of the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy. His 39 year career in pharmacy has included practice in a variety of venues including community pharmacy, long term care, home health care, corporate management, hospital pharmacy and management consulting. He is currently CEO of the Institute for Community Pharmacy (ICP) and founding partner of Delta Pharmacy Group, LLC (DPG). |

ICP is a non-profit, public benefit corporation whose mission is to improve health care delivery through effective utilization of community pharmacists and pharmacies. Delta Pharmacy Group provides group purchasing, political representation and business development services to independent community pharmacies. David has served the USC School of Pharmacy as a Director of both the Alumni Association and QSAD Centurions and as President of both organizations. He is a current member of the Board of Councilors and is a USC Associate. In 2001 he was honored by the USC School of Pharmacy as the year’s outstanding alumnus. In 2009 he received the Alumni Service Award from the General Alumni Association of the University of Southern California. David has a long relationship with the California Pharmacists Association (CPhA) as a past Speaker of the House of Delegates and as a former Sr. Vice President. He received CPhA’s highest award as the pharmacist of the year for 2006. |
